Nanoxeal surface protection in Ottawa

Ottawa is one of the coldest capital cities in the world, and it shows on buildings. Real snow loads, freezing rain, and a freeze-thaw cycle that keeps coming back through spring and fall.

What the eastern Ontario climate does to surfaces

  • Heavy snow loads on roofing all winter
  • Freezing rain events that load surfaces with ice
  • Repeated freeze-thaw through spring and fall
  • De-icing salt on driveways, steps and balconies

Frequently asked questions

Does it stop ice sticking?
No, this is not a de-icing product. A water-repellent surface holds less water going into a freeze, which helps the surface itself, but ice still forms in freezing rain.
Do you install in Ottawa?
Not directly, even though we install just across the river in Quebec. Our installation areas are Quebec and British Columbia. On the Ontario side we ship the product and back local applicators: send us the address and we will tell you what is possible.

The coverage (1,000 to 1,200 sq ft per 19 L pail, two coats) and the protection duration (up to 15 years) are the manufacturer specification, not independent lab results. Always test a small area before treating the whole surface.
