Nanoxeal surface protection in Calgary

Calgary is probably the Canadian city where freeze-thaw does the most work. It is not extreme cold, it is the chinook: temperature can climb twenty degrees in a few hours mid-winter and then drop again. Every round trip freezes and thaws the water concrete has already absorbed.

What the southern Alberta climate does to surfaces

  • Chinooks multiplying freeze-thaw cycles right through winter
  • Hail: southern Alberta is the most affected zone in Canada
  • Elevation, which raises UV exposure on roofing and wood
  • Dry air with large daily temperature swings

Nanoxeal in Calgary

  • Less water absorbed by concrete, so less of it there to freeze
  • A flexible coating that moves with temperature-driven movement
  • High UV resistance, which matters at this elevation
  • We ship across Alberta and support local applicators

Frequently asked questions

Do you install in Calgary?
Not directly. Our installation crews work in Quebec and British Columbia. In Alberta we ship the product and work with local applicators. If you want it applied, get in touch and we will tell you straight whether there is a partner available in your area.
Does it protect against hail?
No. It is a water-repellent coating, not impact protection. It will not stop hail from damaging a shingle or a metal panel. What it does is reduce absorbed water and slow the aging of a sound surface.

The coverage (1,000 to 1,200 sq ft per 19 L pail, two coats) and the protection duration (up to 15 years) are the manufacturer specification, not independent lab results. Always test a small area before treating the whole surface.
